Christmas Gift Ideas - Easy Knitted Scarf Pattern

This is an easy knitted scarf pattern using the knit/garter stitch and makes a great Christmas gift.

I used Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn, which was $2.97 in Walmart, but you can use any yarn (I often use Red Heart yarn). The approx. size for the wraparound scarf is 5" x 26".

Pattern:
Knitting needles size 6 1/2mm
Cast on 14 stitches (if you are using less chunky yarn, cast on 20 stitches)
Knit in garter stitch (knit every row) until the length is 26" (or a few inches more if you want it to fit less snug to your neck)
Lay the scarf flat and bring the short edges toward the center. Twist one edge and sew the
edges together. Using the guide below match D to A and C to B. It will give a twist that lays folded against your neck.

Note: Depending on your tension, one ball of  Hometown USA yarn should be exactly the right amount to make the scarf.
