I contribute stories to Chicken Soup for the Soul from time to time and received this information from them today.

It doesn't give a date when free e-books are available, but check their web site between now and Christmas.

Since many of you own e-readers, we want to make sure you have a chance to see how great your books look as e-books, since we do manage to keep our cartoons and most of our beautiful interior graphic design in the e-book editions. Because of this, we’re going to have a free e-book available at Christmastime, so look for a free sampler with stories from each of our devotionals books right before Christmas. We’ll keep that free sampler up for a couple of weeks to give you all a chance to download it. We’re also planning additional e-book promotions in 2012, and we’ll keep you updated on them in the future.
