Body Wash Gel

I have accumulated quite a few bars of soap, but still prefer body gel which is considerably more expensive.

I found some suggestions online to make body wash from soap bars.

To speed up the process I grated the soap, melted it in parts of 1 cup soap to 2 cups water, melted it in the microwave at 30 second intervals, then let cool. If it is thicker than a gel-like substance, add more water, let cool again. When you have the desired consistency, transfer to a pump bottle.

Note: It may not have as much lather as the gel bath wash you buy depending on the soap you use. Also, be careful of mixing different fragrances, if you have a bar with fragrance, use it on it's own instead of mixing with others.

The video below recommends two bars of soap to six cups of water.
