Energy to Produce Products

Body wash vs. Bar Soap 
Being frugal is not only about cost, but also being more responsible to the environment. One thing I haven't considered until now is the amount of energy used to produce products. I recently read an article that states it takes five times more energy to produce body wash and a staggering 20 times more energy to produce the packaging than bar soap. From a frugal standpoint, we use seven times more of liquid soap when washing hands than bar soap. Bar soap might be a good choice for Christmas gifts this year.
