Gift giving doesn't have to cost a lot. Collect vases from yard sales (usually for little more than 50 cents) and buy flowers for a birthday or hostess gift. (Better still, grow flowers such as
zinnias to cut and arrange in a nice vase). Use your skills to make gifts and stock up on them before birthdays and holidays. Keep a gift box and stock with low cost items you find throughout the year. Remember if you give an expensive gift to a friend, she will feel she has to reciprocate with the same dollar amount so keep gifts small and thoughtful.
