Paying Bills

Discontinue mailing checks with bills and save money on both the checks and postage stamp by paying online. You can sign up for automatic payments, but I prefer to keep control over the payments. Unless you have a balance to cover those bills if there is a mistake or if you don't receive a direct deposit when expected, you could incur large insufficient fund charges.

Note: Make sure there isn't a fee for paying online. I've noticed that by paying property taxes with a credit or debit card incurs a charge from the appraisal district.
