Cleaning a Steam Iron

Sediment/calcium can build up in your steam iron and it's wise to clean it periodically. One tip I found is:

Use a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and boiled water
Pour into the tank
Let the iron steam until dry
Rinse with water, shaking through holes

Note: I have also used a wooden toothpick to get rid of the scale build up in the holes, but be careful not to break it.
