Uses for Baking Soda

Most of us keep a container of baking soda in the fridge and freezer to absorb odors, but there are so many more uses for it.

  1. Clean brushes and combs - combine 1/2 cup of baking soda with warm water, then soak combs and brushes for ten minutes or so before rinsing.
  2. Make a paste and spread on insect bites to limit itching
  3. Add to the bath (or foot soak) on its own or combine with Epsom salts
  4. Sprinkle in litter boxes to absorb odor
