Apparently after books have been on the clearance shelf at
Barnes and Noble they are simply thrown away. But they will often donate those books to schools if you request them. Call the manager of your local store and ask if they would consider donating books to your children's school. You will need to give them the name of the teacher, name and address of the school and they will be delivered directly to the school.
