Children get bored with their toys easily and often have a toy box overflowing with familiar looking play things. When my son was little I had three boxes/containers which I kept toys in (two I put on a shelf in his closet). Once a month, I rotated the box so that he had "new" things to play with. Of course, the favorites, I kept out all the time. He always wanted a bunny rabbit in one hand and a toy plane in another!
