Night Guard - Kroger

Update 2015

The Plackers Grind No More Dental Night Protector is a good buy. There are 14 in a box and although it is shown as a disposable night guard, I have used each one for several months. They are also great to take with you when travelling as they are so inexpensive there is no worrying about losing one of them. They have them at Walgreens, but Amazon seems to be the cheapest place to purchase them.

Original Post
If you use a night guard to protect your teeth from grinding during the night, you know how expensive they are. Fitted and purchased from a dentist can cost over a hundred dollars. I found some at CVS for $33, but it was in Kroger that I found the best buy. The Rest Assured nite protector is sold under the Kroger name and was $12 and as an added bonus there were two in the pack.

Note: It does state on the instructions that the protector is for the upper teeth, but I found it easier to manipulate and fit on the lower teeth and it seems to work well.

Note: After using this for a few weeks the bottom part of the night guard separated from the top so it wasn't such a good buy after all. I don't know if this was just a faulty one that I picked up or if it's inherent with all these night guards.

And while we're talking about Kroger, did you know you can go to their site and upload coupons directly to your Shopper's Card? I did this with a few items (it takes about an hour to be available on your card). The "coupons" were deducted when the item was scanned and made the whole process much easier than fumbling through coupons.
